Collectibles, Treasures, and More in Arlington

by Sarah Lopez

Exploring downtown Arlington’s treasure troves—or what we nostalgically called “junk store browsing”—has found its charm, now rejuvenated as a hunt for collectibles. This quaint town offers an array of collectible shops along Olympic Avenue, perfect for a day out with family or friends. My mom, a frequent visitor, has a soft spot for these stores! We start our adventure by parking at Legion Park, just across the street.

My Favorite Things
Specializes in antiques with plenty of knick-knacks that spark childhood nostalgia. Enjoy pretty pink glassware, cute yard decorations, and essentials like cast-iron pans that are perfect for sharing with adult children.

Arlington Hardware
Head north on Olympic Avenue; if new country-style home décor piques your interest, pop into Arlington Hardware for a browse.

Sassafras, Vintage, and Gifts
Located on Third Street, this store is great for gift shopping, offering cards, jewelry, dog-themed items, seasonal décor, and charming country signs.

Bits and Pieces
Situated at 311 Olympic Avenue, Bits and Pieces is a treasure for second-hand enthusiasts with a collection of clothes, furniture, books, and more.

Rustic Vintage
Neighboring Bits and Pieces, this shop beautifully showcases antique furniture and housewares.

Katelyn’s Korner
One of my mom’s favorites for “live edge” cutting boards and assorted items like baby blankets and crocheted washcloths.

Found It
At the corner of 5th Street, this boutique offers used clothing and various other treasures.

Before heading home with your newfound treasures, indulge in a meal at the Bluebird Café or Centennial Bar and Grill, both nestled between 4th and 3rd Street along the Olympic Avenue loop. Enjoy your treasure hunt in Arlington!
